Elle est d\u00e9crite comme \u00e9tant <strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">une attention impartiale<\/span><\/strong>, ind\u00e9pendante de la charge habituelle des go\u00fbts, des d\u00e9go\u00fbts, des opinions, de l&rsquo;ignorance, de l&rsquo;inqui\u00e9tude, de l&rsquo;agressivit\u00e9, du besoin, de la peur, de l&rsquo;\u00e9go\u00efsme et de la gamme sans fin des obstacles \u00e9motionnels. Et pourtant, cette couche profonde d&rsquo;attention n&rsquo;est pas une froideur insensible, engourdie, indiff\u00e9rente ou non \u00e9motionnelle. Etre d\u00e9tach\u00e9, c&rsquo;est \u00eatre en paix avec les polarit\u00e9s de la vie comme gagner et perdre, brillance et honte, et ainsi de suite.<\/p>\n<p>La conscience t\u00e9moin est cultiv\u00e9e et d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par la m\u00e9ditation, et pratiqu\u00e9e dans la vie quotidienne quand nous devenons un observateur impartial de nos pens\u00e9es, nos sentiments, nos \u00e9motions et les \u00e9v\u00e9nements de la vie &#8211; m\u00eame si nous sommes tr\u00e8s sensibles \u00e0 la souffrance et \u00e0 notre bonheur, et \u00e0 celui des autres. C&rsquo;est <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">une conscience altruiste qui nous enl\u00e8ve la fausse perception que nous sommes plus important que les autres<\/span><\/strong>.
