Quant aux yogis hindous qui ont \u00e9crit sur le sujet, ils s&rsquo;adressaient \u00e0 des lecteurs indiens ayant d\u00e9j\u00e0 une formation pr\u00e9alable et vivant dans un milieu favorable \u00e0 la pratique des exercices d\u00e9crits; les traductions faites de leurs ouvrages dans des langues europ\u00e9ennes ne correspondaient certainement pas aux instructions qu&rsquo;ils auraient donn\u00e9es \u00e0 des disciples occidentaux agr\u00e9\u00e9s par eux. Ceux qui ont \u00e9crit directement en anglais se sont prudemment born\u00e9s \u00e0 des g\u00e9n\u00e9ralit\u00e9s.
