En particulier chez les <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">patient canc\u00e9reux<\/span><\/strong> ou survivants du cancer, l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 du yoga est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e. De nombreuses \u00e9tudes concluent que la pratique du yoga est bien tol\u00e9r\u00e9e dans cette population et que le yoga engendre plusieurs effets positifs quant \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 du sommeil, de l\u2019humeur, des niveaux d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, de d\u00e9pression, de fatigue, et de gestion de stress.<\/p>\n<p>Le yoga contribue \u00e0 abaisser la consommation de m\u00e9dicaments chez <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">les asthmatiques<\/span><\/strong> de tous \u00e2ges. Il am\u00e9liore aussi leur qualit\u00e9 de vie, tant sur le plan psychologique (bonne humeur, attitude positive, confiance en soi, etc.) que physiologique (d\u00e9tente musculaire, souplesse, force, sant\u00e9 cardiorespiratoire, etc.). On a notamment observ\u00e9 que le yoga pouvait att\u00e9nuer le gain de poids associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge, abaisser les taux de cholest\u00e9rol total, assurer un meilleur contr\u00f4le glyc\u00e9mique chez les diab\u00e9tiques et am\u00e9liorer le statut antioxydant de l&rsquo;organisme. Les r\u00e9sultats de plusieurs essais laissent entendre que les pratiques yogiques peuvent aussi abaisser significativement la tension art\u00e9rielle chez des sujets sains et hypertendus.
