Quand le t\u00e9lom\u00e8re devient trop court, il ne joue plus son r\u00f4le protecteur. La cellule le d\u00e9chiffre comme une alt\u00e9ration de son ADN et entre ainsi en s\u00e9nescence. Elle stoppe sa croissance et peut aller jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 provoquer son auto-destruction.
