Les 14 autres constituent les <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">os de la face<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ces os forment de <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">nombreuses cavit\u00e9s<\/span><\/strong>. La plus grande est la cavit\u00e9 cr\u00e2nienne qui abrite le cerveau. D&rsquo;autres contiennent les structures participant \u00e0 l&rsquo;audition et au maintien de l&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre, et certaines comme les cavit\u00e9s nasales et les orbites s&rsquo;ouvrent vers l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n<p>Le seul <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">os mobile<\/span><\/strong> de la t\u00eate est la mandibule (ou m\u00e2choire inf\u00e9rieure). Les autres os sont unis (d\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge de 2 ans) et solidement joints l&rsquo;un \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre par des <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">sutures<\/span><\/strong>.
