La progest\u00e9rone, en association avec les \u0153strog\u00e8nes, assurent le d\u00e9veloppement des seins et contr\u00f4le le cycle menstruel. En plus de ces diff\u00e9rents r\u00f4les ces hormones sont impliqu\u00e9es dans le d\u00e9veloppement du syst\u00e8me nerveux central, dans l&rsquo;hom\u00e9ostasie du squelette et du syst\u00e8me cardio-vasculaire. Ils ont \u00e9galement des effets sur le foie et le tissu adipeux.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Chez l&rsquo;homme, les testicules produisent la testost\u00e9rone.<\/span><\/strong> Elle est responsable de la maturation des organes g\u00e9nitaux et du d\u00e9veloppement des caract\u00e8res physiques masculins : les organes g\u00e9nitaux, la pilosit\u00e9 ou encore la mue de la voix \u00e0 l&rsquo;adolescence. Plus largement, cette hormone joue un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans la sant\u00e9 et le bien-\u00eatre, en particulier dans le fonctionnement sexuel.
