Les hormones qu&rsquo;elles s\u00e9cr\u00e8tent participent \u00e0 la <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">gestion des situations de stress<\/span><\/strong> et au contr\u00f4le de l&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre hydro\u00e9lectrolytique (maintien de la vol\u00e9mie plasmatique et de la tension art\u00e9rielle, ainsi que de la concentration de potassium dans le sang).<\/p>\n<p>En ce qui concerne la <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 un \u00e9tat de stress<\/span><\/strong> (physique et \u00e9motionnel) ou en vue d&rsquo;une activit\u00e9 physique, les surr\u00e9nales s\u00e9cr\u00e8tent de l&rsquo;<strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">adr\u00e9naline<\/span><\/strong> qui entra\u00eene une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration du rythme cardiaque, une hausse de la pression art\u00e9rielle, une dilatation des bronches ainsi que des pupilles. Cette s\u00e9cr\u00e9tion r\u00e9pond \u00e0 un besoin accru d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie, par exemple pour fuir ou faire face au danger.
